Labour Party members in East  Brightonhave have chosen Chaun Wilson to be their candidate in the forthcoming by election, which will take place on the 18th of October.

The by election was called after Cllr Craig Turton stood down for health reasons.

Chaun is a seasoned campaigner and fully committed to representing the people of East Brighton.

 Chaun said:

 ”It is a real privilege to be selected to stand in the forthcoming by election, and if elected I will represent the members of the city with dedication and great pride”

 ”I have a wealth of experience to bring to the council and have a particular interest in housing matters”

 Cllr Gill Mitchell, Leader of the Labour and Cooperative group and an East Brighton Cllr said:

 ”I’m delighted that Chaun Wilson has been chosen as the Labour Party Candidate for theEast Brightonby-election.  Chaun’s breadth of experience, particularly relating to housing and community issues means that she will be a real champion for local residents.”
