Jeane Lepper, Labour and Co-operative Councillor for Hollingdean and Stanmer, has asked the Council to cut the grass field in the middle of The Roundway in Coldean.

Jeane says:
“This follows complaints I have had from residents of The Roundway that because it is ages since this grass was cut it is now so that long local youngsters can’t play football and other games there as they usually do in the summer.

Some youth football teams say they are already under threat because of the steep increases in fees for pitches and changing rooms imposed by the Greens.

I hope that what has happened in Coldean is not a sign that informal kickabouts are also likely to be cut because of a failure to cut the grass.”
