New crossing needed for Egremont Place
We are rapidly approaching the 4th anniversary of the request by local residents for a new crossing at the Egremont Place entrance to Queen’s Park, but still no crossing is in place.
It’s a much needed crossing at a dangerous junction and would assist residents not only accessing the park but also parents and children getting to and from the nearby school and nursery.
Belated consultation took place last year as part of the wider “safer routes to school” programme, but with significant cuts being made to this programme residents need to be reassured that the crossing will be built and more importantly, by when?
Let’s start this New Year by ensuring that local kids in the Queen’s Park area are able to get to school safely.
