Anne Meadows to become next mayor of Brighton and Hove

Anne Meadows has been chosen as the next mayor of Brighton and Hove following a meeting of the city council.

Current mayor Councillor Geoff Wells will assume the role of Deputy Mayor, as has become the custom in Brighton and Hove.

Meadows is a Labour member for Moulsecoomb and Bevendean, and has revealed her honour at landing the role after playing an active role in Brighton and Hove politics for the last 16 years.
