Anne Pissaridou worked in the civil service for nearly 30 years and is an independent adviser on Wills and Trusts. She serves as a Trustee of the Grandparents Association and has been a school governor and Chair of the Parent Teachers Association. Anne’s family all live in Brighton & Hove and her grandchildren go to local schools. She has been a long-standing active member of the community, successfully campaigning on local development issues. She pledges to be very visible in the community and a tireless representative of local residents to get a fair deal on local issues. Anne says ‘I know how important schools, parking, dog fouling and haphazard new developments are to the residents of Wish and I will make sure that the views of residents are factored into each decision’. On national issues, she says, ‘I am concerned that higher education is becoming the preserve of the rich and not necessarily the most able.
